FBDi: New work group 'Quality Management'
October 26, 2016
The Fachverband Bauelemente Distribution (FBDi e.V.) has established a new Quality Management work group. The move was driven by the growing demand among members for a concentrated exchange of knowledge, especially for sector-specific quality management for the electronics industry. To enable companies to prevail in today's competitive environment, measures to ensure products and services are becoming increasingly important, as defined in the internationally recognised DIN EN ISO 9000 series of standards for quality management systems.
Quality management systems help companies identify their potential for improvement and innovation. They make processes transparent, define evaluation criteria, ultimately boosting the quality of their products and services. With this in mind, the topics of process optimisation and methods as well as current information about ISO 9001:2015 are firmly on the work group's agenda.
The focus is on the organisation and its processes, taking into account the needs of customers, suppliers, the company, lenders and employees. In this context, the work group highlights how good and effective quality management can be implemented despite significant modifications, deletions and additional requirements.
