New RE-D Guide available now

Finally, the new RE-D guide was published on June 6, 2018 – now also including radio modules and ICs. For download of the latest version of the Guide to the Radio Equipment Directive 2014/53/EU click here  

New is that everything dealing with radio now needs a CE conformity declaration and the CE sign. Devices whose functions were originally not covered by RED (did not provide radio communiation or radio location), but are combined with a 'radio equipment' in the way that the radio equipment cannot easily be removed, are now covered by RED. As such, a laptop with integrated WLAN module is now definitely a radio device. Additionally, such products may only be placed on the market with according declarations and documents.
